BC Ferries has 3 routes that service Salt Spring Island:

From Vancouver, go to Tsawwassen Terminal and take the Gulf Island ferry to Long Harbour.
From Victoria, go to Swartz Bay Terminal and take the Salt Spring ferry to Fulford Harbour.
From Vancouver Island, go to Crofton and take the Salt Spring ferry to Vesuvius.
